Stephen’s work has been featured in California Home & Design Magazine.

His assignment was to turn an unfinished basement with cinderblock walls and cement slab floors into a natural looking earthen wine cellar and tasting room, where homeowners could enjoy fine wine while entertaining guests.

A seating area shown above gives a hint of a much larger wine cave beyond, with a Mexican barn-wood dungeon door and photo inset of a barrel storage room.

Faux earth walls, complete with embedded roots, rocks, and ledges to hold showcase wine bottles and candles, are key to the ambiance of this wine cellar, but don't overlook the faux stone floor, “aged” beams and ceiling work.
